Speaking of price, while MAC isn’t the cheapest option out there, the formula’s quality and the longevity of the color make it feel justified. If you’re looking for a more affordable alternative with a similar soft matte effect, brands like Maybelline or NYX offer velvet-matte sticks that perform well, though they might not have quite the same cushiony texture or richness of pigment.
In comparison to other MAC lipsticks, the Powder Kiss line feels significantly lighter and more forgiving on the lips than the Retro Matte collection. For someone seeking a matte look without the dryness or stiffness of a classic matte, this stick hits the sweet spot.
