When I tested it, I followed the instructions to the letter—sprayed it 12 inches away from my face in a circular motion for about 3-4 seconds. The mist is ultra-fine, almost like a gentle fog, which I loved. It doesn’t leave wet spots, it dries down quickly, and most importantly—it did not disturb any part of my makeup. No white cast, no settling into fine lines, no tackiness. I wore it through a long summer day, including a hot afternoon and a late dinner. My makeup? Still in place. If this product’s price point doesn’t quite fit your budget, consider the e.l.f. Stay All Night Micro-Fine Setting Mist—also alcohol-free, gentle on the skin, and a fraction of the price. It doesn’t deliver quite the same hold in extreme conditions, but for everyday use, it’s a great budget-friendly option.
