The formula also features Gaba amino acids, which aim to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, while licorice root extract brightens and calms the skin. It’s designed to work while you sleep, so let’s see how it performs in real life.
First off, the texture is light but creamy, making it easy to apply. I used it right after my essence, as recommended, and massaged it in, starting from the center of my face. It absorbed quickly and didn’t leave my skin feeling greasy or heavy. I did notice an immediate softening effect, and over time, my skin felt smoother and looked more even.
The standout feature for me is the Living Beauty BioActive Complex. This includes ingredients like peony, 23K rose gold, amla, and spirulina, which all aim to rejuvenate the skin and restore its firmness and clarity. These ingredients work in tandem with cocoa probiotics and vegan prebiotics, which help balance the skin’s microbiome and improve its overall health. I was really impressed with how balanced and nourished my skin felt, and the natural formula definitely makes this a product I can feel good about using.
Now, when it comes to performance, after about 2 weeks of use, I began to notice a visible reduction in texture irregularities. While I didn’t see a drastic reduction in fine lines right away, my skin did appear plumper and smoother, which is exactly what I was hoping for with a product like this.
When we talk about pros and cons, here’s what I’ve found. On the positive side, this serum is packed with skin-loving ingredients that are natural, certified organic, and cruelty-free. It’s also pregnancy-safe and vegan, which makes it accessible to a wide range of people. The texture is also lightweight and not overly sticky, which makes it a dream for nighttime use.
On the downside, while the serum promises visible results in 4 weeks, I did find that it took a bit longer than expected for the fine lines to visibly reduce. Additionally, at $98 for 30ml, it is on the pricier side. But considering the high-quality ingredients and the fact that it’s a clean beauty product, I believe it’s still worth the investment for those who want to target texture and fine lines.
As for alternatives, if you’re looking for something more budget-friendly, you might consider products that feature similar exfoliating ingredients like glycolic acid and lactic acid, though they may not offer the same level of luxury and bioactive benefits. Still, there are plenty of great options out there that can provide smoother skin at a more affordable price point.
In terms of build quality, the packaging is sleek and functional, with a pump that dispenses just the right amount of product. I like that it’s designed to preserve the integrity of the formula, which is especially important for a serum with active ingredients. I’ve found it to be long-lasting in terms of both efficacy and shelf life, so no worries about it going bad too quickly.
So, would I recommend the Amala Skin Perfecting AHA Sleep Serum? If you’re someone who prioritizes clean, effective ingredients and you’re looking to improve skin texture and reduce fine lines, this is a product worth considering. It’s gentle yet effective, and while it may take time to see full results, the quality of the ingredients and the overall experience are definitely top-notch.
