Welcome back to Beautyistic, where we explore the beauty world with a mix of science, style, and honesty. Have you ever looked in the mirror and wished there was one product that could calm redness, even your skin tone, and protect you from the sun—all at once? That’s exactly what we’re looking at today: the Dr. Jart+ Cicapair Soothing Color Correcting Treatment SPF 30 with Centella Asiatica Extracts. It’s a Korean skincare favorite that doubles as a redness-reducing treatment and a color-correcting cream.
At its core, this product is formulated with Centella Asiatica—often called “cica”—which is known in dermatology for its skin-soothing and barrier-strengthening properties. It starts off with a green tint, which might look a little intimidating at first, but once blended, it adapts to your skin tone, neutralizing redness and giving a more even, natural finish. The added SPF 30 makes it multitasking: color correction and sun protection in one jar. This particular version is a 15ml size, perfect for travel or testing it out without committing to the full size.
When I put it to the test, I focused on areas where redness tends to show most—around the nose, chin, and cheeks. The cream is thick out of the jar, but once warmed up between the fingers, it spreads evenly. At first, it does leave a bit of a cast, almost like a mineral sunscreen, but within a few minutes it adjusts closer to my natural tone. It doesn’t feel heavy or sticky, but it does lean more toward a skincare texture than a lightweight CC cream. I found it worked best when applied over moisturizer, as going directly onto dry skin made blending slightly more difficult.
Strengths are clear: it truly tones down redness without looking overly “made up.” It’s subtle enough to wear alone, especially on low-makeup days, and it pairs well under foundation if you’re looking for more coverage. I also appreciate the added sun protection—SPF 30 is solid for daily use. On the flip side, the shade adjustment won’t work universally for all skin tones. On deeper complexions, it can appear ashy. Also, because of its richness, those with oily skin might feel it’s a little too heavy, especially in humid weather.
Is it worth the price? Dr. Jart+ is positioned as a premium K-beauty brand, and this product reflects that. Considering the inclusion of SPF, Centella Asiatica, and its performance as both skincare and base makeup, I’d say the value makes sense if redness is your main concern. For those who only need a light tint or prefer sheer hydration, there are more affordable options like green-tinted drugstore primers that offer similar tone correction, though without the same level of skin-soothing ingredients.
Compared to traditional CC creams, this formula leans more therapeutic—it’s less about glam finish and more about skin health plus functionality. The jar packaging feels sturdy and travel-friendly in this 15ml format, though I always prefer pumps for hygiene. That said, the small size is great if you want to test before investing in the larger jar.

Longevity-wise, a little goes a long way. I only needed a pea-sized amount for my whole face, and the finish held up through a regular workday without caking or separating. If you have very reactive skin or rosacea, the soothing effect of the cica might also give longer-term benefits, though it’s not a replacement for skincare treatments prescribed by a dermatologist.
So, who would benefit most from this? If you struggle with redness, prefer a natural no-makeup look, or want a product that combines skincare with SPF and light coverage, this is a strong contender. If your skin tone is very deep, or if you prefer a full-coverage base, this won’t be the product for you.
